Another green milestone: The logistics centre in Mainhausen

The construction of the new logistics centre in Mainhausen combines all aspects of modern & sustainable building technology. We rely on self-sufficient energy generation by means of a solar system and heat pump and produce the energy required and consumed in the logistics centre directly on site. Continuously embedded in holistic concepts and planned for the future. In order to manage our high demands on the energy efficiency and ecology of the building system, we rely on various coordinated instruments. For example, the solar system currently produces up to 300 kilowatt hours (an extension of 50 % is technically feasible), of which up to 60 kilowatts can be stored in the building's own buffer tank. A decisive point for climate efficiency is the way we deal with the issues of heating and air conditioning.
